Service Desk

 

A.Somerville Ltd’s service desk co-ordinates a team of dedicated service organisations and experienced engineers throughout the UK for your routine service visits and breakdowns. We provide both X-ray, conventional processor and digital expertise, saving you considerable time and money. Significant ongoing investment is made in training, current test equipment and spare parts. These factors are particularly important when supporting the wide variety and age of imaging systems encountered in the field.

Preventative Maintenance Visit (PMV)

Our recommended yearly service visit from our engineers include a full service as per manufactures recommendations. Throughout the 12 months following the service date, we offer free telephone and online support for digital units providing an internet connection is available. This enables our engineers to connect to your pc for on-demand diagnostic and remedial actions. Our national service operation is the only accredited provider that can service and support both AGFA and Konica CR solutions.

Call-outs

For issues that cannot be resolved remotely and require a chargeable site visit, we will always try to arrange for an engineer call-out at the earliest opportunity. Alternatively, dependant on the size/type of equipment that has failed, there could be an option for us to provide a loaner Digitiser or Generator to get the practice up and running again. We would then arrange for the equipment at fault to be collected and brought back to our workshop for an in-house investigation/repair. This can save the practice considerable money as it eliminates travel time and prevents the practice from being without X-rays whilst the repair is in hand. In-house repairs mean the need for a second visit to the practice with replacement parts following the diagnosis from the initial visit is not required.

Warranty

Equipment from A.Somervile Ltd can have a warranty period anywhere from 12 months to 5 years depending on the product supplied. If another company or engineer carries work out on the equipment without authorisation from A.Somerville Ltd, the warranty would then be void.

Contracts?

Service contracts aren’t available through A.Somerville Ltd as we don’t tie our customers down to using our service. This enables our customers the freedom to switch provider should their circumstances change, for example following a practice takeover.

As well as the range of equipment we supply, our engineers are also familiar with many other makes and models old and new. Some of the equipment we service on a regular basis include Konica, Agfa, IPS, BMI, Amex, Isomedic, Arcom, Fire, Carestream, Quantum, GER.
